THE ISPS Handa Perth International takes to the Lake Karrinyup Country Club this week with the strongest field in the tournament’s four year history.

The field of 156 will provide golf fans with a variety of players to follow from the three sanctioned tours involved – the European Tour, Asian Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia.  The international flavour of the tournament will see golfers from 28 different countries represented.

Eight of the players finished T9th or better at the Maybank Championship Malaysia on the weekend, including tournament winner Marcus Fraser.

Players teeing it up include defending champion Thorbjorn Olesen, Louis Oosthuizen, Victor Dubuisson, Matteo Manassero, Alejandro Cañizares, Stephen Gallacher , Alvaro Quiros, Edoardo Molinari and India’s Jeev Milkha Singh.

Apart from Fraser, Aussies include Peter Senior, Brett Rumford, Greg Chalmers, Wade Ormsby and, Richard Green,

Tickets are still available from Ticketmaster and at the gate, with children under 16 gaining free entry with a paying adult.

TV Times

No free TV coverage this week unfortunately but Fox Sports will cover all four rounds: (AEST) 4pm – 8pm.

Brian is a former Sydney journalist who didn’t have a skerrick of interest in golf till he hit his first ball at the age of 49 (and a half). Since then golf has just about overtaken his life. Brian founded Australian Senior Golfer in April 2008 and has since covered every Australian Open, Presidents Cups, World Cups and numerous other big men’s and women’s tournaments, spending days inside the ropes with the likes of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Tom Watson, Greg Norman, Adam Scott, Jason Day, Karrie Webb, and many others.
