Davis Love 111 makes US Champions Tour debut

Davis Love 595

TWENTY-TIME US PGA Tour winner Davis Love III will make his Champions Tour debut this week at the 2014 Pacific Links Hawaii Championship in Hawaii.

Davis, who turned 50 in April, also claimed the 1997 PGA Championship and will join fellow former major champions Vijay Singh and Lee Janzen.

“I’m thrilled to be making my Champions Tour debut at the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship,” Love said. “I couldn’t think of a better place to kick off this next phase of my career than in beautiful Hawaii.”

Love’s fluid swing and winning ways made him one of golf’s most popular players. He was ranked in the top 10 of the World Golf Rankings for more than 450 weeks and also served as the 2012 U.S. Ryder Cup captain.

Peter Senior will be the only Aussie in the field at the Kapolei Golf Club.
