THE Australian Mid Amateur Championships, which caters to golfers aged 30 to 54, will be played this year at Lynwood Country Club in North Western Sydney from 12-14 November.
The championship, again played over 54-holes of strokeplay, is moving from Victoria for the first time since 2010 and it is hoped that a new initiative to continue to rotate amongst the eastern states in coming years will help the event to continue to grow.
A maximum GA handicap limit of 4.4 for men and 17.0 for women applies, with the entry fee of $150 covering three rounds of Championship golf, one practice round, Presentation Drinks and Canapés, range balls and pull buggies, and a Championship Gift and Tournament Program.
The Lynwood Country Club is set on 230 undulating acres. It was designed by Graham Papworth, President of the Australian Golf Course Architects Association. The links style 6400 metre, 72 par layout takes advantage of many natural features, including undulations, wetlands and natural rough.
Entries close on October 14. More information available at Golf Australia
