THERE was just one brand new golf course that made it into Australian Golf Digest’s Top 100 list earlier this month – the Greg Norman designed Stonecutters Ridge course in Western Sydney.
Happily, Stonecutters Ridge is one of the three venues chosen this year as part of the NSW Veteran Golfers Association 2014 Stroke Play Championship, to be played Monday 14th April to Wednesday 16th.
Entries for the event, also played at Penrith Golf Club and Richmond Golf Club, scene of last year’s Australian Senior PGA Championship, officially close on Monday but there are still some places available.
Entry costs just $99 for the three rounds plus some extras – not bad at all, particularly when it includes a course now ranked No. 67 in Australia, as well as two other highly regarded golf courses.
It has also just been announced Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club will be the venue for the 2014 NSW Open.
We had more details on the NSW Vets Championship and entry links in our original story on the event here.
