Champions Tour 2012 SAS Championship Preview: Leaderboard

Senior – currently 12th in the season-long points race
THE US Champions Tour is back in action this week with the over 50’s brigade battling it out at the 2012 SAS Championship at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina.

There’s a US$2.1 million purse for the event and a very decent field competing for the US$315,000 winner’s cheque.

The defending champion is Kenny Perry with others of note including US Presidents Cup captain Fred Couples, already making noises how the US team will bounce back from their Ryder Cup defeat, Bernhard Langer, Michael Allen, and the very consistent Willie Wood.

Once again Australia’s sole representative is Peter Senior.

Just three full field full-field events remain for players to make the top-30 and earn a spot at the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship.

Senior is currently 12th in the standing with 9 top ten finishes in his 19 starts this year.
