2010 Australian Men’s and Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships

THE 2010 Australian Men’s and Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships will be held from Tuesday to Thursday this week at The National Golf Club in Cape Schanck, Victoria.

In an exciting change for the championship, 2010 marks the first year the men’s and women’s events have been played concurrently.

The championships, for players aged 45 to 54, are now in their fourth year and continue to attract a high number of entries.

With the inclusion of the State Stroke Teams Event in addition to the single titles for the first time, the combined male and female team will add another dimension to the competition and allow the mid amateurs to battle it out in the intensity of a state versus state rivalry.

Defending champions Julie Swanson and Jason Perry return, both having won the championships twice before.

All rounds will be played on the Moonah course with the exception of the final round for the men being played on the Ocean course.
