Senior two off lead at 2013 US Senior PGA Championship

PETER SENIOR was just two shots off the lead going into the second round of the 2013 Senior PGA Championship, the US Champions Tour’s first major of the year.

Senior shot a 3-under 68 at the Bellerive Country Club in St Louis to trail the joint leaders, the American pair of Jay Haas and Duffy Waldorf.

The 53 year old Aussie shot five birdies with a lone blemish on the par four 9th.

Fellow Aussie Terry Price was on even tied for 30th while Peter Fowler shot a 1-over 72 to be tied tied for 46th in the 154 man field.

Tom Watson, Rocco Mediate and Bill Glasson were part of a group of 12 just a stroke behind Senior.

Steve Elkington withdrew prior to the start of the first round due to a migraine.

Japan’s Kiyoshi Murota and US PGA Club Professional Sonny Skinner shared third place at 4-under 67.
