WE noted the absolute joy visiting American golfer Jason Dufner displayed meeting Sunshine the Koala after the first round of the 2012 Perth International.

The photos have gone all around the world of course and you can see the total delight Dufner has in cuddling one of Australia’s national icons – it’s written all over his face, particularly in the photo at bottom.

It cast our mind back to another epic meeting between golfer and beast when Australian golfer Craig Parry – who is also competing in the Perth International this week – visited China in 2010 and met up with a giant panda.

We couldn’t decide which pair make the best couple, so we will open it to a vote. Please don’t allow the fact that the local authorities wouldn’t allow Parry to actually cuddle the panda influence your vote.
