2012 US PGA Tour Underway

THE first full field event of the 2012 US PGA Tour season is underway with five Australian golfers lining up for the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Robert Allenby, Gavin Coles, Nathan Green, Jarrod Lyle and John Senden will be hoping to get their 2012 seasons off to a great start at the Waialae Country club in Honolulu, where Mark Wilson is the defending champion.

Sessions of the Sony Open are being telecast live in Australia on Fox Sports beginning Friday January 13 from 11am to 2.30pm.

Canada’s Graham DeLaet was the early leader, finishing with a 7-under par 63 while Nathan Green at the time of publication was the only Australian to have completed his first round, a 1-under 69.
