Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club Photos by Noel Rowsell

PLAYING the final round of the 2016 NSW Veteran Golfers Association Strokeplay Championship at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club recently one of our foursome was Noel Rowsell, who I noticed was taking a lot of photos on a little digital camera.

It turned out Noel, from the nearby Leonay Golf Club at the foot of the Blue Mountains, had a long interest in golf and sports photography.

Though not his original profession, Noel has covered numerous events locally as a photo journalist, including the NSW Open at Stonecutters last year.

Despite the tiny camera (much better than lumping around the full sized digital SLR camera attached to my golf buggy) Noel was getting some great results with his panoramas of what is a very spectacular looking course in many places. (The Greg Norman designed Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club was ranked 40th in the 2016 Golf Australia Top 100 courses)

Noel kindly offered some of his shots for display below, and you can see much more of his work at his website  www.photoexcellence.com.au
