SWEDEN’S Alex Noren sealed his second Nordea Masters title in style on Sunday, carding a final round 71 to win by four shots at PGA Sweden National.
After beginning his round with a birdie on the par five first, Noren, the winner of this event in 2011, bogeyed the second and his two shot overnight lead was halved.
But the 32 year old, who began the 2015 European Tour season on a medical extension after suffering tendinitis in both wrists last year, reeled off 15 straight pars before birdieing the last to finish 12 shots under par for the tournament.
Noren said: “I’m so pleased. Now I can relax a bit because it was probably the toughest weekend in terms of wind I’ve ever felt.
“When you’re in the lead you can think a lot, and it was very tough. I hit a few bad shots – I think on the seventh, eighth and ninth – but I played quite well on the back nine.”
Australia’s best was Scott Hend (73) who finished at 1-over tied for 33rd.
