THE Indian Open has been a fixture on the Asian Tour since 1970 and this year in its 51st running will be co-sanctioned by the European Tour for the first time.
That means the likes of the ever popular 51 year old Miguel Angel Jimenez lining up at the Delhi Golf Club against a host of local hopes, spearheaded by recent Malaysian Open winner Anirban Lahiri.
Last week’s Aussie winner in Thailand Andrew Dodt isn’t backing up but the runner-up Scott Hend is and heads a substantial Australian contingent that includes Marcus Fraser, Wade Ormsby, Nathan Holman, Jason Scrivener, Marcus Both, Scott Barr, Jake Higginbottom, Kieran Pratt, Adam Groom, Unho Park, David Gleeson, Terry Piladaris, Sam Brazel and Kalem Richardson.
