A RARE opportunity has come up to play the hyper exclusive and highly rated Ellerston Golf Course at Scone in country NSW … though you are probably going to need some reasonably deep pockets.
Ellerston is owned by the Packer Family and is usually restricted to invitation only guests. It is consistently rated in the top half dozen in Australia and the top one or two in NSW, depending on the list.
This Christmas the owners have agreed to open up the private estate course to aid Epilepsy Action Australia.
Up for auction is a prize that includes 18 holes on the magnificently designed course for 8 people, along with helicopter transfers from Sydney Airport, golf buggy access, and morning tea and lunch.
The highly sought after package is worth an estimated $30,000 but is usually by invitation only, making it an exclusive, money can’t buy experience.
Ellerston was designed by Greg Norman and Bob Harrison and is regarded as one of the world’s best conditioned golf courses.
“At Ellerston we were able to create a course that a golfer of my calibre would love to play every day for the rest of his life,” Norman has said.
The once in a lifetime experience will be auctioned until midnight AEST on Wednesday 21st December. Just in time for Christmas, it’s the perfect gift for any self-respecting golf lover or group.
All funds raised will go towards providing education and support services to people across Australia impacted by epilepsy.
Bidding will start at $6000 and you can get more details here.
