US PGA Tour and US Champions Tour Previews

AUSTRALIAN OPEN champion Matt Jones returns to the US PGA Tour for the first time this week since his thrilling victory in Sydney last November.
Jones tees it up at the Career Builder Challenge, formerly known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic, then the Humana something or other and next year … who knows?
Despite the frequent name changes the tournament has remained on the tour schedule in the La Quinta region of California since the 60’s.
This year it will be played out over three courses, including the PGA West TPC Stadium course (which is the host venue), the PGA West Nicklaus Course and La Quinta Country Club.
The first 54 holes are played as a pro-am and there will be much talk about the good work done by host sponsor The Clinton Foundation … and many others.
Joining Jones will be Marc Leishman, the top performing Aussie in Hawaii last week, John Senden, Robert Allenby, Stuart Appleby, Aaron Baddeley, Rhein Gibson, Geoff Ogilvy, Rod Pampling and Jarrod Lyle.
