2014 Australian Veteran Golfers Union National Championships

Vets Welcome

WE’RE in the beautiful south west of Western Australia this week for the 2014 Regis Australian Veteran Golfers Union National Championships.

Some 384 golfers from around the country have gathered for what is an annual event that rotates around the states and territories.

After a registration and meet and greet day on Sunday the action gets underway Monday with a single stableford event. The 54 hole championship proper starts Tuesday and is played over the four courses hosting the week – Bunbury Golf Club, Capel Golf Club, Busselton Golf Club and the Sanctuary Golf Resort.

The championship represents three years of preparations and planning by tournament director Mike Elliott and his committee from the Country Veteran Golfers Association of WA.

ASG will be reporting on the event this week and we’ll also have a regularly updated photo gallery.
