Victorian golfer Richard Froebel has won the Australian Veteran Golfers Union National Championship in Adelaide. It was two years on the trot for Froebel, from Cranbourne Golf Club, who also won the event in Darwin last year. Some 250 golfers from around the country took part in the week long event, with the 54 championship holes played at thee of Adelaide’s premier courses. NOW UPDATED WITH FULL RESULTS.

Leading caddie Steve Williams has revealed some fascinating insights into his current boss Tiger Woods compared to former boss and friend Greg Norman.
In an interview with Peter Stone, published on smh.com.au, Williams says Norman was as good a player as Woods and could have been equal to the best of what Tiger has done. But his fatal flaw was in dwelling on bad shots and not being able to get over them.

Marc Leishman became the sixth Aussie winner on the Nationwide Tour on the weekend, claiming the WNB Golf Classic in Texas by a whopping 11 shots and rocketing into the Top 25.
