WITH seven birdies in his final12 holes Adam Scott snatched the second round lead of the 2011 Tour Championship in Atlanta today.
Scott’s 5-under 65 took him to 8-under for the championship, one stroke ahead of fellow Presidents Cup team member K J Choi.
Jason Day also briefly shared the lead at the East Lake Golf Club before a late bogey had him 6-under, sharing third place with Luke Donald.
Aaron Baddeley continued to advance his Royal Melbourne claims, finishing on 3-under tied for 10th with Geoff Ogilvy and three others.
Scott was also in front in the projected FedEx Cup standings, with Webb Simpson, the leader going into the tournament on 1-under and tied for 19th.
